Here is another one from my new sketchbook! My two favorite boys, Mr. Z and Ribcage, hitting the books again and dabbling in science. They're always getting into messes. I wonder what will come of tonight? Hope you enjoy
Have you considered inking it digitally or turning it into a mini comic? I think it'd be a great hit! something like ~Rimfrost check her stuff out especially her older stuff might give you some inspiration
I'm trying to recall where the style is from, but I do enjoy it.
There were two things that caught my eye in a weird way. The first was how blocky the moons are (window and rug). I wouldn't have even thought of it, but most of the other circular objects are all much smoother. The other thing that caught my eye was the shading of the clothes. There appears to be some nice stitching detail in the hood, but the erratic shading around the details makes it hard to discern them from the rest.
On the positive end of things, I adore that you've gone for translucent/transparent fluids in the bottles. It gives the whole thing more depth. I also love the detail on the lizard, feathers and tree. Can't really say why, but the detail is very eye-catching.
Cool pic! I like all the little details, I find the mice in the bottom left corner adorable.
If you don't mind my input: the pic looks a bit dark (I have a feeling you used a digital camera with insufficient lighting). You might want to dabble in adjusting the brightness and contrast of your piece digitally, it will help make the overall pic look more clean and polished.
Thank you, and thanks for the input. I'm not sure why, but a lot of my pictures come out kind of dark. I actually use a scanner, I don't have a digital camera (Should invest in one). I will try playing around with the brightness/contrast
Mr. Z (The cloak) is trying to create a potion that will assist in turning regular metals into gold so that he can build a statue in their town dedicated to himself and his knowledge of science. This drawing is after one of the experiments went horribly wrong, and they are trying to find another way
